2021 Title.png

Carrying on the family tradition, the 16th Annual Ackermann Reunion will take place in the Summer of 2021, at Hungry Mother State Park in Marion, Virginia. This park is a Virginia favorite known for its beautiful woodlands and a placid 108-acre lake in the heart of the mountains.

While the park has a total of 30 cabins and 3 separate campgrounds, our reunion will occupy a private loop called the Hemlock Haven Conference Center. This loop contains 11 cabins, a sports field with pavilion, and a large meeting facility which we will have full access to throughout the entire week. This facility will provide us a place to work on group projects, hold indoor events in case of rain, and enjoy catered family lunches and dinners. Should anyone choose to tent camp or RV for the week, our reunion loop is within short walking distance of a creekside campground.

Hungry Mother also has a sandy beach with bathhouse, boat rentals (canoe, kayak, paddle boats, and paddle boards), gift shops, visitor center, hiking and biking trails, and restaurant.
